Art of Curry showcases sauces at its own events space
Producer The Art of Curry has acquired premises in Godalming, Surrey, where it has started hosting dining events.
Sameena Thompson, director, uses the 2,200 sq ft The Art of Curry Dining Rooms to promote her range of sauces, which are now distributed as part of Cotswold Fayre’s chilled range and will be rolling out nationally after an initial sales push throughout London and the South East.
She serves a five-course curry banquet complete with entertainment such as Bollywood dancing and live sitar and tabla music. Thompson has held three events to date which she says have been “packed out”. The facility can accommodate 40 people.
The 20-month-old business also plans to hold cookery classes, workshops and tastings as well as some bigger events featuring food from Royal Gosht Dopiaza, Murghi Ka Saalan and Sabzi Ka Korma to delicacies such as Reshmi Kebab and Haleem.
She charges £40-a-head for main dining events and £30 for smaller intimate dining evenings.
