Independent producers wanted for northern retail development
A new retail development, near the M1 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, is seeking prospective independent businesses to populate its food and drink hub.
Along with modern office spaces and car park, The Batch House will offer a major food, drink and retail hall inspired by those found overseas in Barcelona, Lisbon and Rome.
It hopes to offer a new shopping and socialising experience for up-to-15 million people living within a two-hour drive of the destination on Sheffield Road.
“We are excited to bring this new development to the area and populate it with high quality independent businesses,” said Tim Turner, founder of local construction company Blue Deer which manages the site.
While already receiving some interest in units at The Batch House, Turner said developers are still looking for a bakery and brewery to be housed on site.
“It’s an excellent location that is exciting, supportive and has a captive audience. We would love to hear from any business owners who may be interested,” he added.
