Bespoke to continue as part of Empire Food Brokers
Bespoke Foods will continue to operate as an independent business despite being bought by fellow importer and distributor Empire Food Brokers earlier this month.
Bespoke’s management, sales and logistics teams, including CEO Piers Adamson (pictured), will remain in place but the two businesses plan to pool their respective expertise, in Asian and American foods, to boost buying power as well as sales.
Both firms currently supply products to independents, multiples and department stores as well as foodservice.
Having bought pickle brand Mrs Elswood in 2005 and Burts Chips in 2006, this acquisition is part of Empire’s “ambitious” expansion strategy.
Bespoke’s catalogue features a range of imported products, including the exclusive Thai Taste, Nem Viet and Malay Taste brands.
