Blacker Hall boosts butchery and adds fish counter

Blacker Hall Farm butchers counterBlacker Hall Farm has revamped its butchery area and added a dedicated wet fish counter as it looks to improve its customers’ shopping experience and cater for flexitarian diets.

The Yorkshire farm shop – winner of the 2016 Great Taste Shop of the Year trophy – has added a dry ageing cabinet, which will give shoppers the chance to pick their own joints and how long they will be hung for.

The seven-days-a-week fish counter, which will be run by Hartlepool-based Hodgson Fish, will feature both the best of the local catch as well as fish and shellfish from further afield.

“We are extremely fortunate to have an abundance of fantastic Yorkshire produce to work with, and a hard-working and dedicated team who turn that produce into award-winning food,” said Blacker Hall MD Edward Garthwaite “This expansion will allow us the opportunity to showcase more of that product, and to increase our offering for customers with the addition of a new and exciting fish counter.”
