Cotswold Fayre adds new MD in restructure
Cotswold Fayre has announced a restructuring of its management team – including a change of role for founder Paul Hargreaves – with the goal of improving customer service.
The fine food distributor has appointed a new joint managing director and finance director, Ian Roberts, who will take over finance and operations responsibilities from founder Paul Hargreaves, as well as overseeing the customer services and operations team.
The sales force has also been expanded and four regional sales managers have been appointed. They are Andrew Gibson (London), Elaine Shirley (Scotland), Gillian Herdman (North West) and Leanne Castle (East Anglia).
Hargreaves, who will retain responsibility for sales and marketing, said it was time to bring in extra support to strengthen the service the company offers and prepare for future growth.
Ian Roberts joins the company with a wealth of experience having spent more than 25 years at director level for major retail companies such as Oak Furniture Land and Warren Evans.
“I am thrilled to be joining the team at Cotswold Fayre,” he said. “While the speciality food sector is new to me, it has many parallels to the retail sector and I am excited to be part of such an ambitious company.
“As the company looks to expand in the next few years, customer service will remain at the heart of the company ethos. The team and I will ensure that we have the strong support functions in place to handle future growth whilst providing excellent customer experience.”
