Cotswold Fayre hires operations manager to keep pace with growth

Distributor Cotswold Fayre has hired an operations manager and merged its telesales and accounts departments in a bid to enhance customer service as its sales grow.

Ian Wood, who has previously worked for Irish food wholesaler Musgrave and major logistics firm Norbert Dentressangle in his 25-year career, will oversee the Berkshire-based firm’s warehouse and logistics. He will also look to improve deliveries to the firm’s independent retailer customer base.

“As the company continues to expand, it is vital that our warehousing processes and distribution services keep pace with this growth to ensure high levels of customer care,” said Wood.

Cotswold Fayre, which reported growth of more than 30% last year, has also merged its telesales and accounts teams so that customers now have one contact point for both accounts enquiries and placing orders.
