Fairfields Farm launches snack packs designed for travel sector
Fairfields Farm, the Essex based crisp producer has launched a new line of snacks with the travel and food service sector in mind and secured a deal with airline operator Finnair.
The new snack packs, ‘Fairfield To Go’, consist of a stackable cardboard box that includes a plastic wraped, 40g bag of crisps inside. The box also serves as a bowl for the crisps and is available in all Fairfields Farm snack brands including tortillas, lentil bites and its 10-strong hand cooked crisp line.
“We’ve considered stackability and size to ensure space-efficiency,” explains Robert Strathern, co-founder of Fairfields Farm. “We feel that airlines in particular will see the advantage of them as they can hold 25% more of our boxes in their atlas trolleys than any other brand, whilst retailers can stack them up on the shelf and merchandise more boxes than they could bags of crisps.”
Finnair will be the first airline to stock Fairfields To Go launching on its planes in Spring.
The new Fairfields to Go range contains a 40g bag of crisps in a cardboard container. RRP £1.20-£2.00.
