Greensand Ridge Distillery opens in the Weald

A sustainable distillery has opened in the Wealds of Kent making spirits from local crops and food waste. Greensand Ridge Distillery launches with a London Dry gin that has cobnuts, gorse flowers and oak moss within its eight local botanicals.
The building of the distillery began in July 2015 with the intention of reducing food waste by fermenting and distilling local fruit that the supermarkets won’t take.
Greensands Ridge is dedicated to operating a sustainable business and uses 100% renewable electricity, plans to use no chemicals and generate no non-recyclable waste.
