Logistics partnership extends Cotswold Fayre chilled coverage
Fine food distributor Cotswold Fayre is on the cusp of major expansion after partnering Aktrion Group’s Chilled Logistics to extend distribution of its products.
The temperature-controlled distribution service will expand Cotswold Fayre’s reach for its chilled products as far north as York and will see it reach Norwich, in east Anglia, Portsmouth and Bournemouth, in the South West, and beyond Cardiff, south Wales, by the end of the year.
Paul Hargreaves, Cotswold Fayre’s chief executive, said the ability to scale up distribution had previously limited the growth of his company’s chilled food business.
“However, this new partnership with Chilled Logistics, will allow us to deliver to our existing and new customers within a 125 mile radius of their base in Northampton, with plans to further expand in the future,” he said.
“Our customers are seeking to save time and improve the ordering process by reducing the number of individual suppliers. Our very low minimum order of £100 makes it easy for our customers to use us for consolidation of their chilled supply with a weekly delivery.”
Cotswold Fayre has 275 chilled products from 30 brands. Recent new lines include a range of yogurts form Glenilen Farm, Pegoty Hedge ready-made meals and Nutmeg and Hive.
Tara Temniuk, depot manager at Chilled Logistics, said the partnership would help Cotswold Fayre’s chilled business expand “a great deal” by the end of the year.
