Mackie’s Crisps doubles capacity with new factory
Scottish producer Mackie’s Crisps has moved into a new factory that will see it double its production capacity to service growing demand at home and abroad.
The new facility, located on the 11-acre site of the former brickworks in Errol, will allow the firm to increase the number of 150g bags produced on a single shift from 96,000 to 201,000.
Mackie’s Crisps, which a joint venture between Mackie’s of Scotland and Taylors Food Group, exports its crisps to more than 20 countries.
It also supplies vboth major multiples and independent retailers in Scotland as well as Asda nationally.
