New audiocast series to help budding artisan food & drink brands
The Seasoned Grocer is set to partner with The Seed Fund to create an audiocast programme to help new artisan food producers emerging in 2021.
The Seasoned Grocer Artisan Food Producer Course is a new distanced learning tool offering practical business advice for setting up a speciality food business.
This course – also designed to prepare fledgeling businesses for the return of the full Seed Fund programme in 2022 – will be delivered in a series of audiocasts hosted by former food director at Harrods and Fortnum & Mason, Stuart Gates, pictured right. Gates has also worked as an external mentor to artisan producers on The Seed Fund programme.
Gates said: “I have enjoyed my mentoring sessions in recent years with The Seed Fund, meeting and supporting new food producers and giving them advice on how to progress their food venture, and now this mentoring will continue in a different way in 2021. I’m delighted to be collaborating with The Seed Fund team again.”
The two organisations launched the online programme to help budding artisans at a time when travel is limited and in-person training impossible. The audiocast series can be accessed at any time and features 12 modules with over 220 minutes of practical advice and information to help new artisan food producers to get their businesses going.
A spokesperson for the Seed Fund said: “With experienced advice, the course will help take your food-producing dream from your kitchen table to the store shelf.”
The teams at The Seed Fund and The Seasoned Grocer both have a wealth of experience of buying, developing artisan product ranges and bringing them to market. Seasoned Grocer, Stuart Gates’ insider knowledge on what retailers are looking for will help artisan food producers prepare for meeting buyers and navigate through the world of commerce while avoiding the pitfalls.
There is a special promotional price available to social media followers of The Seasoned Grocer and The Seed Fund for £195, a 50% discount, until the end of February by applying the code THESEED2021 at the checkout. The full price of the course is normally £395.
