Olives Et Al launches garden centre retail concept
Olives Et Al has added a third deli to its retail portfolio with the unveiling of its new Loaf & Larder concept at Cheddar Garden Centre.
The Dorset-based firm, which also runs delis at its Sturminster Newton HQ and in nearby Poundbury, has designed the concept specifically with garden centres in mind.
Loaf & Larder said to be like a “restaurant without tables” sources ingredients from local suppliers to create its own ranges of cakes, pies, salads, quiches, biscuits, breads and 12 varieties of fudge, all made on site fresh every day.
The deli counter also houses a variety of local, regional and Continental cheeses.
The shop carries a number of West Country brands, including Hobbs House Bakery, Luscombe drinks, Chew Moo’s Ice Cream, Pipers Farm meat, Perry Cider and Cheddar Ales, as well as the full Olives Et Al range.
“Once we’re up and running we’ll be offering a series of events, tastings and sessions to show what Loaf & Larder is all about,” said Olives Et Al head of retail Rupert Morris. “After all, the Olives Et Al maxim is to “live more and eat very happily” and we’d love to help people do just that.”
