Planet Organic embraces the hot food delivery trend
Planet Organic has moved into the hot food delivery market.
The health food retailer, which has eight outlets in London as well as accepting online orders, has teamed up with high-end delivery service Supper.
Under the agreement, Supper will courier a selection of to-go items and sushi from two Planet Organic stores on Tottenham Court Road direct to customers.
The service will be available from early morning to early evening on weekdays only.
Launched in 2015, Supper uses specially adapted delivery bikes made to order in Japan to specifications designed to maintain the temperature and quality of food.
Planet Organic was started in 1995 and sells organic products including fruit and vegetables, bread, meat and sustainable fish from British waters. It stocks a range of gluten-free, dairy-free, raw food and healthy options as well as supplements.
Planet Organic food service director Caroline Ottoy said: “We are all about quality, service and high customer expectations and Supper is perfectly aligned with that ethos. We’re very excited to launch and believe it will be well received.”
Supper founder Peter Georgiou added: “We’re delighted to be working with Planet Organic and adding another fantastic operator to the portfolio of restaurants we work with.”
