Raspberry Sorbetto is “a raspberry rush to the head”

The Great Taste Golden Fork for Best Speciality from London & the South East is Raspberry Sorbetto made by Snowflake Luxury Gelato in London and, to top that announcement, judges also awarded the Raspberry Sorbetto the Great Taste Supreme Champion award (see separate release).

Out of 10,000 products entered into Great Taste 2014, the Raspberry Sorbetto took the highest accolade at the Great Taste Golden Forks Dinner on September 8th, where over 300 guests from the world of fine food gathered to hear the result which catapults Snowflake Luxury Gelato into the culinary spotlight.

Karen Barnes, editor of delicious magazine and one of the Great Taste judges described the Raspberry Sorbetto as having “the flavour of the fruit, the leaf, and the entire bush”.

The Best Speciality from London & the South East award was sponsored by Rowcliffe, and it is the second year in a row that an Italian style ‘ice’ has won the award for the region. Also, nominated this year was a Great Taste 3-star Intensely Buttermint infusion from R Twining & Company of Hampshire, and Great Taste 3-star Lidgates Dry Cured Iberico Streaky Bacon from C Lidgates of Holland Park, London.
