Food Stories is a new collectable magazine featuring 12 topical on trend articles, brand stories and 50 seasonal recipes that champion small independent and artisan food and drink producers in the UK.  With seasonality and personality on every page, Food Stories celebrates food producers for their dedication, determination and individuality. The first of its kind, this seasonal collectable magazine was created by The Rare Brand Market, an alternative marketplace for inspirational products and is supported by Great Taste, the world’s most coveted fine food and drink awards.

With provenance at the heart of the publication, features will shine a light on food trends as well as the producers behind Great Taste award-winning products, with food writers and chefs, such as James Golding, chef director of The Pig Hotel Group, offering readers 50 inspirational seasonal recipes per issue to make the most of those artisan products.

John Farrand, managing director of the Guild of Fine Food, organisers of Great Taste, explains; “Over the past 21 years, Great Taste has judged 100,000 entries, discovering some truly exquisite products along the way, with intriguing and inspirational stories behind them. Food Stories will give the producers a well-earned moment in the spotlight, and with its long shelf life and collectable nature, the stories of the one-man-bands, family-run businesses and small independents will be inspiring recipes for a long time to come.”

Emma Schwarz, founder of The Rare Brand Market, explains; “With the publication of Food Stories, we are aware that discovering artisan food and drink can be hard work unless you have a wonderful farm shop or deli in your neighbourhood. It is undeniable that there is a place for supermarket and big brand shopping in our lives. However, if we appreciated small production, artisan food more, we would be delighted with the transparency of our food source and bowled over by the supremely better taste of our food.”

Matt White, director of fundraising and communications at Action Against Hunger UK, adds; “Action Against Hunger UK is delighted to have the support of the Rare Brand Market and Guild of Fine Food, with a donation from the sales of the wonderful Food Stories collectable magazine. The funds raised will go towards our vital work helping children who are suffering with severe acute malnutrition, a preventable and treatable condition that still kills one million children every year. So a massive thank you from Action Against Hunger to everyone who is helping to raise these funds.”
Food Stories is available to buy from Great Taste sponsor, Harrods, as well as Selfridges, Wholefoods, WH Smith and other good independent grocery stores, delis and farm shops in the UK. It is also available online at www.therarebrandmarket.co.uk and some of the proceeds from its sale will be donated to Action Against Hunger.
