Scott Goodfellow has taken the helm at Tiptree jam-maker Wilkin & Sons as joint managing director, after being promoted from his previous sales director role.

Goodfellow, who has been with the Essex-based producer since 2008, replaces the retiring Stuart James – now a non-executive director at the company.

“The Tiptree brand is trusted throughout the world and our singular focus remains the quality of our products,” said Goodfellow.  “We are particularly excited about growing our core conserves business, flying the flag for exports, moving into new product categories, and expanding our Tiptree Tea Room estate.”

Goodfellow joined Wilkin & Sons as sales manager in 2008 and was appointed sales director in 2010.

The Tiptree brand was prominent in the results of Fine Food Digest’s recent Best Brands survey, placing second in the jams & preserves category.
