The Seed Fund reports record entries from food start-ups

The Seed Fund will announce its shortlist of 24 food and drink start-ups later this month following a record number of entries.

Among the products seen in this year’s entries are kombucha, ghee, and kelp, as well as innovative products such as jujube fruit crisps and bar snacks made from a by-product of the brewing process.

The Seed Fund, that recently partnered with Great Taste, will then whittle the shortlist down to a final 12 brands that will benefit from support and mentoring from more than 30 industry professionals and business leaders including Guy Tullberg from Tracklements, Tom Herbert of Hobbs House Bakery, and John Farrand from the Guild of Fine Food.
