The South Devon Chilli Farm has extended its range of chilli chocolates with two new “smooth and warming” bars made from ethically produced single source cocoa.

The Madagascar dark chilli chocolate 70% (RRP £4.49, 100g) is made using a blend of the farm’s own chillies and the “World’s Fairest Chocolate”, produced in Madagascar from the African island’s fruity Criollo, Trinitario and Forastero cocoa beans.

Created in response to consumer demand, the Costa Rica Milk Chilli Chocolate 38% (RRP £3.99, 100g) is made from Trinitario beans grown on a Rainforest Alliance Certified farm in the Caribbean country.

These two varieties join a line-up of chilli chocolates that includes honeycomb, mint and Extreme, made with the notorious Bhut Jolokia chilli.

The range, which is available in independent retailers nationwide, also boasts celebrity fans, including MasterChef’s Gregg Wallace and actress Gillian Anderson.
