Suffolk’s Hollow Trees crowned farm shop champion

Hollow Trees Farm Shop in Suffolk has been named Champion of the Year at the 2016 FARMA national farm retail awards.
The Ipswich-based retailer, which also won Large Farm Shop of the Year, was crowned at the end of FARMA’s annual conference in Chester on February 29 while Hanley Farm Shop in Gloucestershire picked up the award for Small Farm Shop of the Year.
Whitehouse Farm, a pick-your-own operation and shop on the outskirts of Norwich, was named Newcomer of the Year and Newlyns Farm Shop in Hampshire was awarded Farm butcher of the Year.
The other winners were Wiltshire’s Lotmead Farm (Pick-Your-Own category), Farndon Fields Farm Shop in Leicestershire (Restaurant/Café) and the Moseley Farmers’ Market (Farmers’ Market).
