Sustainable edibles on menu at Food Matters Live
Seaweed will be among the ‘sustainable edibles’ under the spotlight in a series of talks and demos at Food Matters Live 2015, a three-day food & nutrition event at London’s ExCel from November 17-19.
Prannie Rhatigan, author of The Irish Seaweed Kitchen, Mara Seaweeds director Fiona Houston and Simon Ranger of organic brand Seagreens will be among speakers looking at the potential for seaweed in everything from mineral supplements to smoothies and speciality chocolate.
Food Matters Live, now in its second year, includes over 100 free-to-attend conference and seminar sessions focused on food and drink innovation, nutrition and health, and how they relate to “the environment, population health and wellbeing”.
Over 400 companies and organisations are also exhibiting alongside the event, ranging from ‘superfood’ tortilla chips brand Luke’s Organic to multinational ingredient suppliers, government bodies and research institutions.
A selection of Great Taste award-winning free-from products will also be showcased.
