Tideford Organic adds fresh miso to its range
Soup-lovers will enjoy the latest launches from Tideford which include fresh miso pastes and what the brand says is the first organic FODMAP-accredited soup on the UK market.
Its tomato & basil soup with red peppers & miso (RRP £3.30, 600g) is suitable for consumers on a low FODMAP diet, which minimizes short chain carbohydrates that are poorly absorbed by the small intestine.
The other addition to Tideford’s fresh soup range is high protein red pepper, coriander, lime & coconut. Both soups come in 600g pots with an RRP of £3.30
In another UK first, Tideford now stocks organic, unpasteurised, fresh miso pastes, which are made in Japan’s Nagano region.
Unlike the majority of miso pastes and powders available in the UK, these are not long-life and ambient but are said to offer a more intense flavour because they are fresh.
Vegan-friendly, gluten-free and GM-free, the fresh Haccho and Saikyo Sweet misos can both be used in soups. The former is also recommended as an addition to sauces and stews while its sweeter counterpart– made using
only rice and soya – can be used as a marinade or dressing.
The misos come in 320g pouches with an RRP of £5.49.
