Charcuterie Campaign
Practical initiatives to help you sell more charcuterie
Cheese tends to steal the spotlight in most food and drink retailers. Ten years ago, the Guild launched the Charcuterie Campaign to readdress this. Over that time with our sponsors and the wider cured meat community we have achieved a great deal and continue to deliver best-practice or revenue generating initiatives, as well as raising awareness.
- Charcuterie Code of Practice for makers, established in partnership with Cornwall Council as our Primary Authority
- Annual publication of the authoritative trade guide to charcuterie: The Cure
- The first UK map of charcuterie producers for retail display
- Tutored tastings at trade and consumer events
- The development of a structured training programme focusing on charcuterie
- Creation and continued sponsorship of a charcuterie trophy awarded to the best cured meat product in Great Taste
- Monthly column in Fine Food Digest, Cut & Dried
