Broker’s Gin is among those being showcased during Food & Drink Export Month

Artisan spirit brand Broker’s Gin is among the businesses showcased during Food & Drink Export Month, which kicked off this week.

A joint initiative between industry bodies, Government departments and Open to Export, the Government-backed advice forum for exporters, the four-week programme is designed to help small and medium-sized firms grow their overseas sales.

A series of free live webinars kicks off tomorrow (September 18) with presentations from successful exporters Kallo Foods, Eat Natural and Broker’s Gin, a Queen’s Award winner. They will describe their international experience and provide tips for firms looking to begin exporting or to expand into new markets.

Further online activities include a webinar on food labelling and exporting beer and dairy products.

A number of online case studies are also being made available, along with a 2014 edition of downloadable guide 10 Steps to Export Success (click here to download).

This year’s activity follows the launch of a Food & Drink Export Week in 2013 . Trade bodies taking part are the Food & Drink Federation – the membership body for larger producers – and the Food & Drink Exporters Association.
