Westmorland starts hiring for second motorway service area

Westmorland, which operates the ground-breaking farm shop at Tebay services on the M6 in Cumbria, is beginning a recruitment drive for its second motorway services venture in Gloucestershire.

Gloucester Services, which is scheduled to open in June 2014, is looking to hire more than 150 staff for posts including a business manager to oversee the running of the site.

It is also looking to fill management positions for its retail, catering, café and farm shop departments as well as the role of head chef.

The new service area will be the first to work in partnership with a charity and hopes to raise £10m over 20 years for Gloucestershire Gateway Trust, which will spend the money on local community initiatives.
