World Cheese Awards 2015 opens for entry
The 2015 World Cheese Awards is now open for entry with cheese-makers from across the globe poised to submit their products.
This year’s competition, which will be held at the BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham’s NEC on 26 November, is expected to attract a record number of entries and the organiser, the Guild of Fine Food is anticipating close to 3,000 products.
“With cheeses from across six continents and over 30 different countries entering in 2014, the World Cheese Awards is truly a global cheese experience.” said Guild MD John Farrand. “Once again, we have invited cheese experts from around the globe, bringing together 250 like-minded people who are entirely focused on finding the world’s finest cheese.”
The World Cheese Awards is open for entry until Sunday 18 October. Cheese-makers can enter at www.gff.co.uk/wca
The Awards, which are dedicated solely to judging cheese rather than all dairy, will run from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 November 2015, at the NEC, Birmingham.
Judging will all take place on the Thursday with the entries narrowed down to a top 60 before facing a final judging panel that will determine the Top 16 and, ultimately, a Supreme Champion.
