Part-time (2-3 days per week – some flexibility on hours), permanent
Office-based role in Gillingham, Dorset SP8

THE ROLE

We are looking for an enthusiastic part-time sales support to join our sales team in our office in Gillingham, Dorset.  You will be trained on administrative tasks relating to sales on our retail training courses and membership.

Reporting to the sales director and working closely with our senior sales account manager and sales assistant you will be supported with full training in this new role.

You will be joining the Guild at an exciting time, as we develop and grow our wide range of activities that support the independent food and drink sector. You will be responsible for:

  • Calling retailers to renew their membership
  • Working through a list of leads to recruit new retail members
  • Calling retailers to book spaces on our retail cheese courses
  • Administering training delegates: ensuring bookings, payments and information is ready pre- and post-course
  • Activating annual Best Brands survey by calling retailers for their feedback
  • Working with marketing, sales and operations colleagues to ensure retailer data and leads are kept up to date

This is a desk-based role, however due to the nature of the role and the Guild’s activities, there will also be opportunities to be part of the events that the Guild of Fine Food attend throughout the year.

We are looking for someone part-time and office-based for this role, but we are open to discussing what the working pattern could look like in terms of number of days per week and start and end times each day.

Our normal office hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30am-5.30pm.
