Prestat was established in 1902 in London by Chocolatier extraordinaire Antoine Dufour, following his family's creation of the chocolate truffle in Chambery, France, in 1895.
Prestat truffles were the favourite chocolates of Roald Dahl, author of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, who made them the centrepiece of his novel My Uncle Oswald.
