Nakasatsunai Village is home to the Nakasatsunai River, which has been voted the clearest river in Japan. The founder opened the workshop in 2000 with the idea that 'if the milk comes from cows that drink Nakasatsunai Village water and grow up in the fresh air, we can make delicious cheese'.
