Great Taste 2026 saw another successful year of its bursary scheme in which 50 micro producers are granted a free entry into the awards. As in previous years, the recipients of the bursary were subject to the same blind judging process as all of the 15,038 entries and the judges were unaware of their bursary status when tasting them.
16 bursary products took home Great Taste awards this year; with nine being awarded a 1-star, four receiving a 2-star and three achieving a 3-star. Primrose Creamery won the Golden Fork for Outstanding Bursary Winner for their Lindley cheese at the Golden Fork awards ceremony at the Battersea Arts Centre on 15 September 2026. Notably, they also won the Golden Fork for England for their Eggleston cheese.
