Calbee Group UK is part of the fourth largest savoury snacks business in the world, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Calbee brands are amongst the biggest snack brands in Asia. In 2018, Calbee purchased the iconic UK snack brand Seabrook Crisps. The brand was launched in 1945 in Bradford, Yorkshire, by Charles Brook, when he created crinkle cut potato crisps for his fish & chip shop customers to eat while queuing for their Friday fish suppers.
