The story of Wegmans began in 1916, and we’ve been hitting milestones and gaining attention in the supermarket industry ever since. Today, Wegmans is proud to be serving our communities with 110+ stores and over 53,000 employees. We are a retailer but we built our own caves in 2016. Our state-of-the-art 12,300 sq. ft. building houses a dedicated room for Brie cheeses and seven “caves” where soft and washed-rind cheeses are ripened.
