Great Taste case study

Hejgro is an independent, family run micro-business based in Frome, Somerset. Everything they produce is handmade in small batches using many locally sourced, organic ingredients as possible. Much of what they create comes from foraged fare. Every food product is 100% vegan, containing no gluten or refined sugars and without plastic packaging. The company was set up in 2012 and entered Great Taste for the first time 2022.

In 2025 they entered two wild garlic products and achieved a Great Taste 2025 1-star award for both.

Pavla Kislerova, the managing director comments: “Great Taste first came to our attention when we noticed the logos on products while we were out and about. We realised that not only is Great Taste a marker of excellent quality, it is also a brilliant way to get more exposure and attract more of an audience to our offerings.
