Codes of Practice

The Guild of Fine Food publish two Primary Authority accredited Codes of Practice. This means assured protection for your business, confidence for your EHO visits and the safety of your customers.


Deli Retailing Code of Practice – a one-stop reference guide for delis, providing guidance on compliance and best practice standards. Opted-in Guild of Fine Food members are protected by the Primary Authority accreditation. Code of Practice is included in all memberships and members are automatically opted-in, at no additional cost. Non-members can still purchase a copy of the Code of Practice, but cannot be covered by the Primary Authority protection.


Charcuterie Code of Practice – guidance for producers on food safety and trading standards requirements for Continental-style meats, including detailed advice on creating a HACCP plan and main parameters around pH, water activity, times and temperatures that EHOs will be looking out for. Non-members can still purchase a copy, but will not be covered by the Primary Authority scheme.
