Town Hall: representing our membership
Our newly established Town Hall meets quarterly to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing our sector. We feel strongly that small businesses are often overlooked in Government decision making and so we set up Town Hall as a forum for small businesses in the independent food and drink sector. Our intention is to identify areas where government policy could help – not hinder – our sector.
As the Guild of Fine Food, we sit on several industry and DEFRA committees and want to be able to accurately bring the voice of the businesses we represent to those meetings.
Meetings are open to Guild of Fine Food members and members are also invited to email in to share views, best practice, as well as participate in surveys and polls. A revolving committee of retailers and producers join us to contribute issues that are affecting them and bring ideas and shared best practice for the benefit of the whole sector.
